How much sleep do you get each night? The National Healthy Sleep Awareness Project recommends that adults get at least seven hours of nightly sleep for optimal health and alertness. But millions of adults in the U.S. sleep six hours or less per night. Sleep loss also is more common in some professions than others. The infographic below is a reminder that sleep loss has a steep cost. Insufficient sleep increases your risk of chronic disease. Make it one of your top priorities to get at least seven hours of sleep each night. Sleep Well, Be Well!
