The American Academy of Sleep Medicine invites public comment on a new clinical practice guideline. It provides recommendations for the treatment of these circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders:
  • Advanced Sleep-Wake Phase Disorder (ASWPD)
  • Delayed Sleep-Wake Phase Disorder (DSWPD)
  • Non-24-Hour Sleep-Wake Rhythm Disorder (N24SWD)
  • Irregular Sleep-Wake Rhythm Disorder (ISWRD)
The guideline is still in draft form. These draft recommendations may change before the guideline is published. The guideline should not be copied or shared until final publication.

The public comment period is open for 2 weeks. Comments will be accepted through Tuesday, May 12, 2015.

You can download and review the Executive Summary of the clinical practice guideline. Submit your comments along with a completed Disclosure Form to research@aasm.org.

A task force will review and consider each comment. A final draft of the guideline will be submitted to the AASM board of directors for approval. The approved guideline will be published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine. The AASM thanks you in advance for your input.
