Patients who use long-term respiratory or sleep support therapies are invited to take part in a new international survey designed to improve future care.
The survey is part of the IMPORTANCE project, a clinical research initiative endorsed by the European Respiratory Society and supported by the European Lung Foundation.
The survey asks about your experiences with treatments such as positive airway pressure (PAP) machines, noninvasive ventilation, and home mechanical ventilation. To keep the questions simple, all of these devices are referred to as “ventilators,” including CPAP and BiPAP machines often used for sleep apnea.
The goal is to understand how these therapies are provided and monitored across different countries, and to learn what matters most to patients. Your responses will help inform future international guidelines and support better, value-based care.
Participation is voluntary, anonymous, and takes about 15–20 minutes. The deadline to submit your response is Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025.
